Responsibilities
Maintain and Repair Equipment: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems including centrifuges, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic presses, and other plant equipment.
Install and Upgrade Systems: Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals to install or modify control systems, instrumentation, and machinery.
Inspect and Test: Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and testing of electrical and electromechanical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Troubleshoot Controls: Work with PLCs, DCS, and VFDs to identify and resolve control or automation issues.
Collaborate: Work closely with maintenance and operations teams, providing input and technical support as needed.
Qualifications
Valid Ontario 442A (Industrial Electrician) or 309A (Construction & Maintenance Electrician) License.
Minimum 2 years of industrial experience, ideally in heavy industry such as water treatment, petrochemical, cement, or manufacturing.
Strong skills in troubleshooting electrical systems, PLCs, and instrumentation.
Comfortable using hand and power tools and working with mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to manage time effectively.
