Responsibilities
End-to-End Digitization: Manage the lifecycle of physical records from retrieval to digital archival using Government of Canada best practices.
File Preparation: Retrieve records from file rooms, maintain strict ordered sequences, and remove all fasteners (staples, clips) to ensure documents are scan-ready.
Precision Imaging: Utilize desktop scanners and software to convert records into digital formats, ensuring each file is labeled and saved correctly.
Multi-Level Quality Control: Perform preliminary and secondary QC checks to verify that every scanned record is complete, legible, and meets prescribed standards.
Data Integrity: Maintain strict care and control of both paper and electronic records to prevent loss or misfiling.
Collaboration: Participate in progress meetings to discuss work priorities, issues, and opportunities for streamlining the imaging process.
Qualifications
Security Clearance: Candidates must hold a valid Secret Level security clearance.
Recent experience in Information Management or Recordkeeping (IMRK), specifically involving the arrangement, classification, and preservation of digital or physical records.
Post-secondary education is preferred
Database Experience: using MS Excel and computer databases (e.g., MS Access or Oracle) for data entry or administrative purposes.
