Our client operates within the distribution of commercial and residential building products, specializing in products such as roofing, insulation, and other building materials. This position will play an important role in coordinating production, managing orders, maintaining accurate internal data, and ensuring smooth communication between customers, drivers, carriers, and internal teams.
Candidates applying for this position MUST have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation and be able to drive to the job site in Peterborough, Ontario each day.
This is a fully in-office position, Monday to Friday, and candidates must be comfortable commuting to the Peterborough location for every scheduled shift.

Responsibilities
As an Inside Sales Representative / Production Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating production-related activities and ensuring orders and deliveries are managed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities will include:
Coordinate and manage orders for building materials, ensuring products and quantities are accurately entered and processed.
Order materials required for production and coordinate with internal teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
Maintain and update internal production databases and systems with accurate and timely information.
Coordinate deliveries between customers, drivers, internal teams, and third-party carriers.
Communicate with customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any updates or changes.
Work closely with drivers and third-party transportation providers to coordinate delivery requirements and schedules.
Monitor orders and deliveries to help ensure timelines are met and issues are addressed promptly.
Enter and process billing and invoices accurately using Mincron.
Review order and billing information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as required.
Maintain organized and accurate records related to orders, production, deliveries, and billing.
Communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination from order placement through delivery.
Assist with resolving customer or delivery-related issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
Prioritize multiple orders, deadlines, and requests in a fast-paced environment.
Provide strong customer service and maintain professional relationships with customers, drivers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
Perform other administrative and coordination duties as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in inside sales, project coordination, production coordination, order management, logistics, or a related administrative role.
Experience working within the building products, construction, roofing, insulation, distribution, or manufacturing industries is an asset.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong computer and data-entry skills.
Experience working with internal databases or ERP systems.
Previous experience with Mincron is considered an asset.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, drivers, carriers, and internal teams.
Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
Reliable attendance and a professional approach to work.
The successful candidate will be someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They should be confident coordinating orders, deliveries, production information, and billing while communicating with multiple stakeholders throughout the day.
Experience in a building materials, roofing, insulation, construction, distribution, production, or logistics environment would be highly beneficial.
