Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of customer orders received by telephone, fax, EDI, email, and web platforms.
- Provide timely and thorough follow-up on all customer inquiries, including stock checks, order status, and product information.
- Communicate relevant information to customers regarding changes in company policy, product pricing, and availability.
- Assist with the daily release of orders for delivery and perform clerical duties to support office operations.
- Service customers directly at the sales counter as required by the specific location.
- Actively monitor back orders and expedite shipments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Gather and update customer information to maintain accurate profiles and assist the Branch Manager with backorder reporting.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Minimum of one year of related experience in inside sales, customer service, or a similar role within the industry.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is mandatory.
- Working knowledge of Fairview products is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as picking, packing, and putting away stock orders.
