- Salary range for Instrumentation Technician: $31.94-$37.05/hr based on skills, education and experience

Develop your talents by applying your expertise within our facility in Niagara Falls, as the Instrumentation Technician:
- Safety:
- Participates in Safety Goals for department and mill, behavior and other audits, reports needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions.
- Wear the proper safety equipment.
- Follows all safety rules and procedures
- Keeps work area clean and practices good housekeeping according to 5s program
- PLC
- Demonstrate the ability to create a PLC program from a set of written process specifications.
- Creates the design and leads the installation of all projects involving PLC’s.
- Maintains all PLC software documentation, software back up strategy, insures that all PLC’s and lap-tops are in good working order and are up to date with software revision.
- Machine Drive Controls
- Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret all machine drive control software.
- Provides training to mechanics on how to interpret machine drive control software.
- In charge of maintaining the Ethernet communication network for machine drive control systems, and maintains links for remote access.
- DCS
- Fully proficient at troubleshooting DCS process related problems; interface with Production as necessary.
- Can install and configure all DCS C200 controller hardware including I/O racks and individual I/O boards.
- Proficient at maintaining the FTE network.
- Demonstrate the ability to configure analog control loops, digital control loops and digital I/O control using the control builder utility from a written process specification.
- Demonstrates the ability to configure a simple sequential control loop (SCM) from a written specification.
- Demonstrates the ability to configure a simple operator graphic using HTMI web builder.
- Other
- Manages the motor inventory.
- Manages E/I CAD drawings
- Manages technical investigations, SOP’s and follow-ups to problems; initiates training for other E/I personnel as follow-up.
- Organizes the E/I department drawing system
- Assist E/I department manager/supervisor in various energy, power distribution, load study, high voltage PM, and other topics as identified.
- Completes all other jobs as requested by the supervisor.
