Responsibilities
Translate detailed technical system specifications into clean, maintainable, and fully tested software applications.
Design, build, and deploy high-performance front-end user interfaces using React, Next.js, and Jamstack architecture.
Collaborate with UI/UX teams to implement user-centric features and responsive designs directly from tools like Figma.
Compile data-driven programs, maintain application codebases, and execute thorough unit tests to ensure software reliability.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues during software implementation, conversion, and migration phases.
Ensure all front-end application components adhere strictly to digital accessibility standards (such as AODA) and responsive design principles.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and kanban task management.
Produce clear system documentation, code comments, technical reports, and walkthrough materials for cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Front-End Development Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience as an intermediate front-end developer (Strictly Required).
Modern JavaScript Frameworks: Proven expertise in building web applications using React, Next.js, and Jamstack architecture (Strictly Required).
Large-Scale Systems Experience: Demonstrated experience developing applications for large-scale enterprise environments, specifically within banking or public sector domains (Strictly Required).
Cloud Platform Familiarity: Practical experience working with cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure (Strictly Required).
Design & Collaboration Tools: Working knowledge of Figma (or similar design platforms) and Agile task tools (Jira, DevOps pipelines, Kanban boards) (Strictly Required).
Agile Delivery: Hands-on experience operating within Agile development methodologies.
Nice-to-Have Assets:
Prior public sector or government IT project experience.
Practical knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliance standards.
