Responsibilities
- Develop and execute manual and automated test cases, test plans, and test scripts for integration, regression, functional, and non-functional testing.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product owners to understand and verify business requirements.
- Plan and prepare test data and ensure full traceability of test coverage using test matrices.
- Implement automation using tools such as Selenium, Appium, Postman, SoapUI, or similar frameworks.
- Test RESTful and SOAP-based services to ensure robust integration across systems.
- Conduct post-deployment and user acceptance testing (UAT) support.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint reviews, and requirement workshops.
- Log defects and issues clearly in Jira, track their resolution, and communicate results with cross-functional teams.
- Prepare testing documentation, including reports, status updates, and defect summaries.
- Ensure testing aligns with non-functional requirements such as performance, failover, security, and accessibility (AODA compliance).
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of QA experience covering multiple testing types:
- Integration, Regression, Functional, Accessibility, and Non-functional testing
- 5+ years developing and executing automated test scripts
- Experience testing RESTful services and SOAP APIs
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Hands-on experience using tools such as Selenium, Appium, Postman, SoapUI
- Experience with traceability matrices, defect tracking, and testing documentation
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Agile teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with:
- Testing enterprise-level systems, especially COTS or SaaS solutions
- Working knowledge of .NET, HTML, JavaScript, or scripting languages for automation
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience coordinating UAT and facilitating defect review meetings
