Our client is looking for an Intermediate Systems Testing/QA Specialist for a 7 month contract in Toronto.
This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities
• Create comprehensive QA test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to ensure thorough testing coverage.
• Support QA leads with all aspects of QA testing and reconciliation, ensuring effective and timely completion of all required QA/testing activities.
• Participate in change management processes to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions under the guidance of senior staff.
• Perform detailed execution of test cases and test scenarios according to the test plan.
• Contribute to functional testing and Accessibility Compliance testing to meet diverse user needs.
• Prepare test data and perform data testing and reconciliation to verify system accuracy.
• Adhere to established QA processes, best practices, and templates to maintain consistency and quality.
• Responsible for problem identification, creating, and updating defect reports to track issues and resolutions.
• Identify gaps in requirements or implementation by performing detailed, thorough testing of system changes.
• Document test results and provide constructive feedback to staff and stakeholders under the guidance of senior staff.
• Prepare and send test summaries and daily status reports to keep the team and management informed of progress and issues.
• Share knowledge with other team members under the guidance of QA lead through knowledge transfer sessions and detailed documentation.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings and collaborate closely with the QA team and other project teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Develop deep knowledge of the system to understand the impact of changes and provide valuable insights under the guidance of senior staff.
• Ensure that all business rules, data field specifications, and other validations are implemented according to requirements.
• Confirm the correct application and system flow to maintain a seamless user experience.
Qualifications
MUST HAVES:
• 5-7 years of experience in assisting with test planning, test cases, and expected test results for complex business systems under the guidance of QA lead.
• 5-7 years of experience in executing test cases and scenarios for large, complex systems.
• Proficiency in testing tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Microfocus Product Suite).
• Familiarity with Accessibility testing tools like WAVES, JAWS, NVDA, and Compliance Sheriff.
