As an intermediate QA specialist, you will bridge the gap between software development teams, business analysts, and project leads throughout the entire Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Operating fully onsite in Toronto, you will execute functional, non-functional, regression, user acceptance, and API testing, generate detailed test cases, log defects, and ensure digital solutions conform to strict accessibility regulations and quality standards.

Assignment Type: Onsite (5 days per week)
Contract Duration: 6-month contract (with potential for extension)

Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test scripts, and test cases aligned with technical and functional requirements.
Execute manual and automated test scripts to validate system behavior under varied conditions.
Identify, document, isolate, and track software defects through resolution using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or Bugzilla.
Work closely with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects.
Build and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium or Postman, and support integration into CI/CD pipelines.
Conduct performance, stress, and load testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to evaluate system traffic handling and scalability.
Validate data integrity, consistency, and perform backend database testing using SQL queries.
Ensure testing processes and web applications comply with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to clarify requirements and ensure solution quality.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Maintain detailed documentation of test results, test coverage metrics, release notes, and user guides.
Qualifications
Core Requirements & Testing Expertise
Enterprise QA Experience: Minimum 2+ years of software testing experience in enterprise-level IT environments.
Manual & Automated Testing: Hands-on experience performing manual testing alongside automated testing tools and frameworks.
API & Automation Tooling: Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium) and API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
Defect Management: Practical experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar defect-tracking platforms.
Accessibility Compliance: Extensive experience conducting accessibility testing and ensuring compliance with AODA regulations.
Methodology Alignment: Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall testing methodologies.
Database Verification: Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) for backend validation.
Preferred Experience & Assets
Performance Testing Tools: Familiarity with performance and load testing software such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
CI/CD & Cloud Concepts: Knowledge of continuous integration pipelines (Jenkins, Git) and cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
Soft Skills & Delivery Attributes
