This position is open due to a recent promotion, and the outgoing team member will provide comprehensive training, ensuring a smooth transition. This is an immediate, ASAP start opportunity. You will play a crucial role in monitoring and controlling the inventory flow of materials, work-in-process parts, and finished goods. Responsibilities
As an Inventory Analyst, you will:
- Review, maintain, and report internal inventory KPIs and other inventory reporting for internal stakeholders.
- Perform and lead cycle count programs for internal and external warehouses, ensuring accurate reporting in the Warehouse Management System (Freedom).
- Analyze and identify the root cause of inventory inaccuracies or procedural non-compliance.
- Provide and implement recommendations for both resolution and future prevention of inventory and procedural inaccuracies.
- Ensure inventory handling processes and service levels comply with internal standard operating procedures.
- Ensure inventory control is managed in compliance with company and governance policies, including site audits and inventory control reporting.
- Monitor and control aged inventory, providing recommendations for actions required.
- Co-ordinate management of Hold inventory in partnership with the QA, Finance, and Materials departments.
- Reconcile inventory across all financial systems (e.g., QAD, Freedom, Qlikview).
- Perform Bill of Materials (BOM) analysis, as required, to ensure accurate consumption of all raw materials and packaging.
- Support all inventory audit requirements in coordination with the Finance department.
- Order miscellaneous products, including but not exclusive to, tape, labels, and poly bags.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure purchase orders are facilitated through agreed production lead times and that shipping deadlines are met.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Co-ordinate sample requests with internal stakeholders and ensure all transactions are recorded in the WMS.
- Prepare customs paperwork.
- Create incoming materials receiving, cycle count procedures, and LMS training.
- Perform additional inventory-related duties as required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this Inventory Analyst position will possess:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business or a related discipline with coursework in inventory control preferred.
- 2 years of inventory control experience, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
- Very strong analytical skills – essential for bill of materials analysis and identifying root causes of inaccuracies. We are specifically seeking candidates with demonstrated analytical capability, not just software operation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory systems (e.g., Freedom, ClickView) is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Solid organizational skills and strong attention to detail for managing full-cycle inventory.
- Proven problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to work in a quick-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining precision and accuracy.
- Must be able to pass a criminal check.
