As a Visible Inventory (VI) Inventory Control Worker, your day-to-day duties keep supply chains running smoothly. From picking, packing, and managing stock to performing light technical troubleshooting on inventory sensors and mechanical hardware, you ensure that clients always have the right components when they need them. Candidates with experience in industrial manufacturing & logistics environments, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety will thrive in this role.
Because this position is based in Cambridge, Ontario, the primary language of daily operation, customer interaction, and documentation is English. Effective verbal and written English communication skills are required to interface with local clients, maintain calibration logs, and collaborate with internal supply chain teams.

Responsibilities
• Safely operate company vehicles to perform daily local deliveries and manage inventory restocking at customer sites.
• Maintain, organize, and monitor Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI/VI) stock levels directly on client premises.
• Perform basic technical maintenance, sensor replacements, relabeling, and minor troubleshooting on inventory systems.
• Build and maintain positive face-to-face relationships with key client personnel, acting as a trusted company representative.
• Identify potential client needs, gathering feedback and communicating growth opportunities to account managers.
• Pick, pack, kit, and process orders accurately inside the local warehouse facility.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and order pickers, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Complete routine inventory counts, audit logs, and calibration records with high accuracy.
• Maintain clean, compliant, and safe working spaces at both the warehouse and client facilities.
Qualifications
Skills
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills for daily customer interaction.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial fasteners, components, or hardware.
• Practical material handling and order preparation abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Time-management and route planning capabilities to ensure punctual client visits.
• Problem-solving aptitude for performing minor technical maintenance and inventory troubleshooting.
Requirements
• 3+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, material handling, or customer service environments.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract (mandatory for operating company vehicles).
• High School Diploma required; post-secondary education in Logistics, Business, or Sales is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted (and up to 60 lbs assisted) on a regular basis.
• Active Forklift Certification or willingness to become certified is considered a strong asset.
