Overview:
Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB
Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Permanent
Starting Wage: $36.00 / hour (Negotiable based on experience and active tickets)
Schedule: Monday to Thursday (9-hour shifts) & Friday (8-hour shifts). That's 44 guaranteed base hours every week!

Responsibilities
Precision Structural Fitting: Take complete ownership of complex structural assemblies by accurately aligning, fitting, and tacking components prior to the final production weld.
High-Volume FCAW: Execute flawless, heavy multi-pass Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) procedures on massive structural components within a high-output, fast-paced setting.
Blueprint Translation: Expertly navigate and interpret complex structural schematics, intricate fabrication layouts, and advanced weld symbols to ensure millimeter-perfect builds.
Rigorous QA/QC Collaboration: Work seamlessly with our internal quality management personnel to ensure every single project strictly exceeds rigorous CWB and ABSA code standards.
Qualifications
Official Credentials: You must hold a valid and current Journeyperson Welder ticket to be considered for this role.
Process Expertise: Demonstrated, hands-on mastery of heavy FCAW processes and advanced multi-pass structural welding techniques.
Fitting Proficiency: Deep, practical knowledge of structural layout methodologies, precise fitting, and the safe operation of standard heavy shop fabrication equipment.
Testing Readiness: Must be fully prepared and capable of passing practical CWB and ABSA weld tests on our shop floor. (Bonus: If you hold active, up-to-date CWB and ABSA tickets, you will jump straight to the top of our interview list!)
Local Reliability: You must reside in or near Fort Saskatchewan with dependable, daily transportation to and from the facility.
