Overview:
Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta
Role Type: Full-Time (Temporary-to-Permanent pathway)
Base Pay: Starting at $36.00/hour (Negotiable for candidates with active tickets and heavy experience)
Shift Schedule: Monday to Thursday (9-hour shifts) and Friday (8-hour shifts) – ensuring 44 base hours every week!

Responsibilities
Precision Structural Fitting: Confidently assemble, align, and tack-weld heavy structural components with exacting precision before final welding procedures begin.
Heavy Multi-Pass Welding: Execute flawless Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) on massive structural steel assemblies in a fast-paced production setting.
Blueprint & Symbol Mastery: Read, interpret, and execute detailed structural drawings, engineered blueprints, and standard welding symbols with absolute precision.
Quality Control Coordination: Collaborate closely with our shop QA/QC inspection team to verify every weld easily satisfies strict CWB and ABSA code standards.
Qualifications
Journeyman Ticket: A valid Journeyperson Welder certification is strictly required for consideration.
FCAW Expertise: Demonstrated, extensive background in heavy FCAW processes and multi-pass structural steel welding.
Mastery of Fitting: Solid experience in structural layout, precision fit-up techniques, and safe overhead crane handling.
In-House Test Ready: Capacity to pass our practical in-shop ABSA and CWB weld examinations. (Active tickets earn priority review!)
Reliable Commute: Must reside within daily commuting distance of Fort Saskatchewan with reliable personal transportation.
