Structural Steel Gaugers Day Shift (Nisku)
Are you a layout specialist who excels at the "math" of the trade? We are looking for Gaugers who specialize in high-volume structural steel measurement and marking. If you have the speed to keep a production line moving and the precision to ensure every hole and connection is exactly where it needs to be, this is your spot.
...
This role is located in our high-capacity Nisku facility. We have a massive project backlog, meaning we need people ready to put their heads down and work long hours to keep the backbone of Alberta’s infrastructure moving.

Shift: Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4x10s).
Wage:
$30-$38 based on experience and speed
Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a permanent 3-day weekend every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Advantages
Precision Gauging: Set the pace for the shop by accurately marking gauge lines and hole locations on heavy-duty beams, columns, and plates.
Blueprint Mastery: Read and interpret complex structural shop drawings with 100% accuracy.
Quality Control: Ensure all layout marks comply with zero-tolerance specifications before the steel moves to the fitters and welders.
High-Volume Output: Maintain a steady flow of material through the layout station, ensuring no bottlenecks in the production cell.

Stamina: Mental and physical readiness for hard, heavy manual labor and the focus required for repetitive, large-scale industrial fabrication.
Reliability: You are the first step in the assembly process. If you aren't here, the shop stops. Punctuality is non-negotiable.
Journeyman welders aer an asset and would be on the higher end of the wage scale*
