The purpose is to engage a junior desk side support resources who will work onsite within Nova Scotia Health (NSH) hospital facilities in partnership with a local area support team to deliver a high priority project for healthcare. The resources will assist with tasks required to address the additional workload resulting from increased demands for asset deployment and desktop support in NSH facilities. They will mostly provide assistance at healthcare facilities, and occasionally within other NSH sites in the region.

The contractor will be responsible for the following activities within Cyber Security and Digital Solutions:
- Onsite and remote support of clients and devices in healthcare facilities
- Deployment of net new computers and accessories
- Refresh of currently deployed computers with new hardware
- These responsibilities would include tasks such as the following:
o Device imaging o Software installation and support o Information gathering (with clients)
o Troubleshooting o Physical exchange of devices located under and on client desks o Tracking and reporting of daily work and performing duties within skillset as assigned by lead and/or manager
Qualifications
- An IT diploma or equivalent (e.g., NSCC, Eastern College, University diploma)
- Demonstrated experience in customer service
- Demonstrated experience in onsite, direct support of clients, and devices
- A diligent worker who is able to perform tasks as requested without the need for a high level of supervision
