Responsibilities
Requirements Elicitation & Workshop Support: Facilitate and support requirements gathering workshops, JAD sessions, and interviews with stakeholders to capture, analyze, and document business, system, and data needs.
Process Modeling & Swimlane Diagrams: Create visual process maps, workflow diagrams, context models, and swimlane diagrams using MS Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, and Figma to identify process improvements.
Agile Requirements & User Stories: Author detailed use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria; track and maintain requirements backlogs within Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence.
Data Analysis & SQL Querying: Conduct database analysis and run SQL queries to analyze data structures, validate business rules, and support data-driven solution design.
Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between business users, development teams, QA specialists, and external vendors to ensure clear communication and solution alignment.
Systems Re-Engineering & Optimization: Analyze current-state processes to support workflow enhancements, system re-engineering, and automation opportunities.
Quality Assurance & UAT Support: Assist QA teams in establishing requirements traceability matrices and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate software against documented specifications.
Documentation & Compliance: Prepare business cases, briefing notes, options analyses, and technical documentation adhering to organizational compliance and procurement frameworks.
Qualifications
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting data, system, and business requirements (Strictly Required).
Process Mapping & Visio Diagrams: Hands-on expertise creating process flows, workflow models, and swimlane diagrams using MS Visio or similar tools (Strictly Required).
Use Cases, User Stories & Acceptance Criteria: Ability to define clear use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria for IT deliverables (Strictly Required).
Database & SQL Proficiency: Practical experience with database analysis and writing basic to intermediate SQL queries (Strictly Required).
Facilitation & Collaboration Tooling: Experience conducting stakeholder interviews or JAD sessions, using Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps for project tracking (Strictly Required).
Regulatory & Service Delivery Frameworks: Understanding of procurement practices, regulatory compliance frameworks, and service delivery models (Strictly Required).
Nice-to-Have Assets:
Prior business analysis experience within a public sector or broader public sector environment.
Familiarity with ERP, CRM, cloud solutions, or web accessibility standards (AODA/WCAG).
