Schedule: Mon – Thu: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Fri: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM (or until tasks are complete)
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement & Supplier Management
- Issue purchase orders to replenish production materials and manage initial orders for new projects.
- Maintain the system database for materials, inventory, and PO tracking.
- Analyze supplier performance indicators and assist in sourcing new materials.
- Coordinate with vendors and manage follow-ups regarding non-conforming materials identified during quality inspections.
- Inventory & Warehouse Operations
- Execute regular cycle counts to ensure 100% inventory accuracy.
- Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) and track material movement from offsite warehouses.
- Verify and receive incoming shipments into the ERP system using RF scanners.
- Problem-solve space constraints and optimize storage efficiency for easy production access.
- Collaborate closely with the forklift team and receivers to manage the loading/unloading of trailers.
- Ensure all materials are put away in designated locations to support lean manufacturing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years in a purchasing role.
- Minimum 3 years in inventory management and cycle counting.
- Proven experience driving material handling equipment (forklifts/reach trucks).
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
Skills:
- Technical: Proficient in ERP systems, RF scanners, and Microsoft Excel.
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet.
- Communication: Strong email etiquette; French as a second language is a significant asset.
- Soft Skills: High level of punctuality, a "can-do" attitude, and the ability to work cohesively within a larger Supply Chain Management (SCM) team.
Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Mathematics preferred.
- Supply Chain certification is an asset.
