In this role, you will support day-to-day procurement activities, work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and help ensure materials, supplies, and services are available to support business operations. Responsibilities
• Create and process purchase orders for materials, supplies, equipment, and services
• Follow up with suppliers regarding order confirmations, deliveries, and shipment status
• Monitor open purchase orders and expedite deliveries when required
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information within the ERP system
• Support inventory replenishment activities and assist with stock management
• Review requisitions for accuracy and completeness prior to processing
• Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation
• Obtain supplier quotations and compare pricing, lead times, and service levels
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure purchasing requirements are met
• Assist with supplier issue resolution and service-related claims
• Support procurement reporting, documentation, and administrative activities
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing function
Qualifications
1–3 years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related administrative experience
• Diploma or post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field is considered an asset
• Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment is preferred
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
