Responsibilities
System Design & Engineering: Creating tailored HVAC solutions, performing equipment sizing, and ensuring compliance with engineering principles.
Client & Stakeholder Consultation: Meeting with clients, architects, and contractors to understand project requirements, providing technical expertise, and building relationships.
Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to qualify leads, prepare proposals, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and provide technical insights.
Product Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of company offerings, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
Documentation: Create compelling presentations, solution designs, and technical documentation.
Technical Sales Support: Assisting the sales team by providing detailed specifications, submittals, and technical documentation.
Estimating & Proposal Development: Calculating costs, preparing bids, and shaping commercial proposals for complex HVAC systems.
Specialized Applications: Designing for specialized, high-stakes environments like data centers, hospitals, and schools.
Qualifications
Experience: Generally requires 3+ years of experience in HVAC design, engineering, or technical sales.
Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of HVAC design principles, energy modeling, and equipment capabilities.
Education/Certification: Relevant mechanical engineering background is highly valued, with preference often given to professional accreditation (e.g., PEO, CET, OACETT).
Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to manage client relationships, and proficiency in creating technical proposals.
