Responsibilities
- Project Tracking: Support the Senior PM in managing, tracking, and updating project plans, resource needs, and budgetary requirements for high-value infrastructure projects.
- Meeting Facilitation: Coordinate project meetings, prepare materials, and accurately document minutes, action items, and decision logs.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and prepare reports for Project Champions and Portfolio Teams.
- Artifact Development: Create and maintain essential project collateral, including Briefing Notes, Change Requests, RACI charts, Contracts, and Request for Bids (RFBs).
- Reporting: Develop ministry-specific dashboards, executive summaries, and progress reports using tools like PowerBI and Excel to support decision-making.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Relations: Assist in vendor management to ensure contractual obligations are met and build trusted relationships with cross-ministry partners.
- Migration Strategy: Support the development of network implementation and transition plans, focusing on cross-stream dependencies.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least 2 years of project management experience, preferably within large-scale public safety or telecommunications infrastructure.
- Project Lifecycle: Direct experience applying concept, planning, implementation, and closeout phases to complex projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, and PowerBI; experience assessing process flows and KPIs.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate project information in a politically astute manner.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities to identify gaps and develop options analysis for senior team members.
- Radio/Telecom Knowledge: (Desired) Familiarity with radio networks, civil structures, or IT infrastructure in a public sector environment.
- Organizational Skills: Proven ability to juggle multiple concurrent tasks and meet strict deadlines with minimal direction.
