Our client is seeking for a Scrum Master for a 6-month contract offers a hybrid work model with 2 in-office days per week at a Toronto location and 3 remote workdays from anywhere within Ontario.

Responsibilities
• Lead Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, backlog refinements, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Coach Agile practices and support teams in using Scrum principles effectively
• Collaborate with Product Owners on backlog refinement and sprint goals
• Facilitate delivery of project commitments across multiple simultaneous projects
• Maintain project artifacts: schedules, risk logs, status reports, issue trackers
• Monitor progress and generate Azure DevOps reports, including burn-down charts
• Coordinate project activities across cross-functional teams and external vendors
• Manage project risks, dependencies, and resource allocations
• Ensure knowledge sharing and documentation throughout project lifecycle
• Prepare and present progress updates to stakeholders and leadership
Qualifications
Must Have:
• Scrum Master certification
• 5+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master for Agile software development teams
• Expertise in Azure DevOps (backlogs, Kanban, pipelines, reporting)
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and iterative development
• Demonstrated experience in:
• Java and Oracle development projects
• IBM BPM
• Leading multiple cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to manage schedules, deliverables, risk logs, and communication plans
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Office Suite, and Visio
Nice to Have:
• Familiarity with platform modernization or workflow automation projects
• Azure certifications
• Experience with SOA-based architecture
• Knowledge of AODA compliance standards
• Project recovery or triage experience
• Prior exposure to public sector or large multi-stakeholder projects
