Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and departmental growth.
Technical Execution: Install and service various automated gate brands, including Liftmaster, Auto Gate, and HySecurity systems.
Operations Management: Develop daily work plans, manage material requisitions, and ensure resources are allocated effectively to meet deadlines.
Field Problem Solving: Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting electrical circuits (primary and low voltage) and resolving site-specific mechanical issues. Reporting & Liaison: Provide detailed daily progress reports and maintain professional communication with customer representatives and senior management.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to internal and client-specific safety protocols
Qualifications
CET (Certified Engineering Technologist) designation is an desired asset.
Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; proficiency in welding and operating light machinery (mini-trenchers, skid steers) is required.
Experience: Proven track record in gate operator installation or a closely related automated systems field.
Compliance: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract, a clear criminal record check, and the ability to pass ongoing drug and alcohol screenings. Availability: Willingness to work 44–50 hours per week and travel for out-of-town projects as needed.
