Responsibilities
Lead and support a team of shop technicians, providing guidance, training, and hands-on assistance.
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls on a wide range of automotive-based GSE equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues on diesel and gas engines, industrial equipment, hydraulic systems, compressors, and generators.
Conduct refurbishment and modification projects to extend equipment life and improve performance.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematic diagrams, and technical documentation.
Use precision measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
Complete accurate job costing and maintain documentation using Excel, Word, and other computer applications.
Collaborate with shop staff to maintain workflow, safety standards, and quality expectations.
Demonstrate professionalism and sound judgment when working under pressure or in challenging situations.
Diagnose issues with a “repair-first” mindset—fixing components when possible rather than simply replacing parts.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of hands-on mechanical experience in automotive, trucks, industrial equipment, or heavy machinery.
Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring or supervising mechanics or technicians.
Advanced mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
Proficiency in repairing diesel/gas engines, hydraulics, compressors, and generators.
Ability to read blueprints, schematic drawings, and use precision measurement tools.
Strong communication skills with clear English proficiency.
Effective under pressure with proven professionalism in demanding environments.
Solid computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Must own a comprehensive set of mechanic’s hand tools and safety footwear.
