Responsibilities
• Contribute to a high-impact, agile learning project by continuously assessing learning needs, proposing phased solutions in two-week cycles, allocating tasks, and delivering high-quality, consistent learning experiences that drive measurable business outcomes.
• Translate complex concepts and technical content into clear, learner-friendly language using plain language and instructional best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders and subject matter experts, to gather content, validate learning needs, and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Lead the design and development of engaging, accessible, and interactive blended learning solutions that meet both learning objectives and performance outcomes.
• Ensure all learning solutions adhere to the organization’s brand, accessibility standards, and principles of diversity and inclusion, while proactively managing scope, risks, stakeholder communications, and resolution of project challenges.
• Apply agile methodologies and industry-leading practices to instructional design and development, ensuring quality and efficiency throughout all project phases.
• Provide subject matter expertise in learning strategy, performance consulting, and program evaluation, contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Analyze and prioritize work effectively to meet multiple deadlines, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
• Identify potential risks to project success, take appropriate mitigation steps, and escalate issues when necessary to protect organizational interests.
• Maintain a strong risk and control mindset, ensuring compliance and best practices are upheld.
• Adapt swiftly to shifting priorities and business needs, reprioritizing tasks and adjusting learning strategies as necessary.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience as an Instructional Designer and Developer
• Advanced design skills in creating high quality, fully accessible learning deliverables in all modalities (i.e. e-Learning, instructor led - classroom & virtual materials; and self-led learning, etc.)
• Advanced skills developing eLearning and simulations using the Articulate 360 suite of products
• Advanced MS Office (PowerPoint & Word) experience
• Accessible design experience and knowledge of testing using screen readers such as JAWS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Instructional Design and Development experience supporting the financial industry on complex, fast-paced transformational projects
• Advanced skills developing videos using Vyond and fully accessible interactive PDF using Adobe Acrobat
• Educational background in Instructional Design / Adult Learning Certificate
