Responsibilities
As a Lease Administration Business Analyst, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
-Lease Lifecycle Management: Support all aspects of lease execution, including renewals, amendments, terminations, and critical date tracking.
-Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the central point of contact between internal business units, landlords, external legal counsel, and key stakeholders during lease negotiations.
-Documentation Workflow: Coordinate, review, and facilitate the execution of real estate agreements; manage electronic signatures and maintain meticulous records.
-Financial & Accounting Integration: Upload and capture all lease data in PowerPlan. Partner with corporate accounting teams to support lease accounting compliance (under ASC 842 standards) and financial reporting.
-Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Assist with real estate portfolio budgeting, prepare rent reports for the 4&8 and 8&4 budgeting cycles, and explain rent variances.
-Payment Administration: Process timely and accurate lease payments, conduct payment reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and manage subtenant revenue invoicing.
-Vendor Setup: Submit and track vendor setup and modification requests for real estate service providers.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
-Education: University Degree in a relevant discipline (Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field).
-Experience: Minimum 4 to 9 years of direct experience in lease administration, real estate business analysis, or corporate real estate management.
-Accounting Familiarity: Solid understanding of lease accounting concepts and financial reporting (specifically ASC 842 compliance).
-Software Proficiency: Strong background with enterprise lease management systems (PowerPlan experience is a major asset) and financial spreadsheet tools.
Nice to Haves:
-Experience working within corporate facilities or large-scale asset management environments.
-Strong negotiation support and contract interpretation skills.
-Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgeting cycles and rent variance analysis.
