Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (Around 6 months)

Responsibilities
- Assisting in-house legal counsel in all aspects of regulatory and prosecution-related legal matters
- Manage and organize legal documents, contracts, court documents, and other legal documents.
- Edit and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, letters, and memorandums.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and court dates.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, managing inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality by e-mail, telephone, fax and mail, including client groups, inspectors and investigators, court staff and counsel for other parties.
- Perform legal research, as required, including locating and retrieving legislation, case law and, other legal resources using a variety of sources and databases.
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and maintaining accurate time records.
- Provide general administrative support to lawyers and other legal staff.
- Other Ad Hoc duties as required
Qualifications
- Legal Assistant diploma from recognized post-secondary institute or suitable combination of education and experience
- Minimum three years of law office experience or professional administrative experience in a law firm
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A Legal Assistant Diploma or Certificate is a strong asset.
- A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
