We are seeking a motivated and meticulously detailed individual to join our client's team as a Title Officer. This critical hybrid role combines essential client service, focused attention to detail, and specialized industry expertise in a fast-paced environment.
Position - Legal Assistant/ Title Officer
Type: Permanent Role

Salary : $46,000 - $49,000 Annual + %5 Annual Bonus Incentive

Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients via email, phone, and an online portal, responding to inquiries within specified timeframes.
- Read and make necessary amendments to internal records and client files.
- Conduct title searches and review title discrepancies with lender representatives.
- Prepare necessary documentation, including mortgage and title change documents, ensuring compliance with lender requirements.
- Request and review payout statements from financial institutions, calculating penalties, per diems, and final payout amounts.
- Manage escalated calls and build partnerships with credit unions and other external stakeholders.
- Work on files from start to finish, including ordering statements and resolving rejected documents.
- Stay updated on corporate policies, lender processes, and underwriting guidelines.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Law Clerk/Legal Administration or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in real estate transactions, including title searches and file management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with exceptional customer service abilities.
- Proven multitasking skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
-Familiarity with banking or mortgage processes, including calculating payout statements and working with lenders.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook, with the ability to quickly learn new systems (e.g., Teraview).
- Business maturity and confidence to manage high volumes of emails and calls.
