This critical role is tailored for a diagnostic expert who takes pride in maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of motor trucks and trailers to the highest OEM specifications.
As a Licensed Technician, you will work independently and collaboratively to execute complex repairs, mentor junior techs, and keep vital supply chains moving efficiently.
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Environment: Modern Commercial Fleet Maintenance Shop
Wage: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour (Plus shift premiums up to $4.00/hr based on assignment)

Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
Preventative Maintenance: Perform full-scope routine maintenance, inspections, oil changes, and fluid service.
Advanced Diagnostics: Utilize handheld computers, motor analyzers, and pressure gauges to identify complex malfunctions.
Major Repairs: Specialize in overhauling engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and fuel delivery systems.
System Overhauls: Inspect and service critical safety components including brake systems, steering assemblies, and wheel bearings.
Documentation: Identify warrantable repairs and accurately detail work completed on digital repair orders.
Shop Safety & Standards: Operate welding equipment, hoists, and power tools while maintaining factory clearances and shop cleanliness.
Qualifications
What are we looking for in a candidate?
Certification: Valid Provincial License (Red Seal / 310T / Journeyman Heavy Duty or Truck & Transport).
Experience: 5+ years of practical experience in tractor-trailer maintenance and troubleshooting.
Licensing: Valid Class D or Class 3 driver's license with air brake endorsement (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Technical Proficiency: Skilled with diagnostic tools, precision measuring instruments, pneumatic tools, and light welding.
Physical & Technical Capability: Comfortable lifting up to 23 kg regularly, working in shop conditions, and using basic computer applications.
