Responsibilities
-Liaise with Sales, Customer Service and Carriers for day to day inquiries as well as tracking and tracing orders.
-Liaise with finance department in reviewing of weekly logistics invoices and trouble shoot issues pertaining to logistics billing.
-Liaise with Logistics providers for load delivery appointments and changes to meet delivery date targets & ensures that shipments are not delayed.
-Reviews daily dispatch schedules with 3PL, Customer Service, Load Planner and Carriers.
-In conjunction with the 3PL, lead and manage customer charge backs saving initiatives and projects directed at removing cost from the Supply Chain and optimizing the network.
-Read/Respond to voice/email messages throughout the workday
-Analyzes, manage and report all service metrics and KPIs related to freight, service level and warehouse capacity.
-Analyze transportation planning opportunities to reduce transportation costs.
-Audits Logistics costs and activity ensuring adherence to contract and rates
-Verifies and completes required custom documentation for cross border shipping.
-Submits accurate reports to Lakeside on outbound traffic volumes and other data.
-Identifies compliance issues and participates in metric feedback process.
-Proposes possible remedies / action plans to Logistics Specialist.
Qualifications
-2 to 3 years on-the-job experience in logistics field and finance.
-Knowledge of Customs documentation and NAFTA regulations.
-Decision making abilities in order to select most cost effective carriers
-A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-Demonstrates organizational, decision making, multi-tasking, and analytical skills
-Familiarity with freight rates and carrier cost structures preferable
-Ability to make decisions under pressure in an environment of rapid change and growth
-3 to 5 years experience using Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ERP and TMS
