The Logistics Coordinator is an essential role responsible for managing and optimizing the flow of materials and products within the company. This position combines administrative and physical tasks to ensure a smooth supply chain. Key responsibilities include managing stock and inventory, processing orders, and carrying out shipping and receiving operations. The incumbent works closely with suppliers and internal teams to streamline processes, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain accurate logistics records.
30% of the job involves material handling and 70% of logistics coordination.
Shift: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9AM to 5.30PM
Pay: $21/hour

Responsibilities
What the Logistics Coordinator will do:
70% of logistics coordination tasks:
•Shipment planning: Plan shipments with carriers (couriers, LTL carriers) to ensure on-time delivery (as marketing campaigns often have strict launch dates).
•Documentation and Customs: Prepare all shipping documents (BOLs, labels, etc.) and customs documents for cross-border deliveries (particularly to the United States).
•Tracking and Communication: Track deliveries (PODs) and keep internal teams (project managers, customer service) informed of shipment status.
•Cost Management: Request shipping quotes and update freight costs in the ERP system.
30% of the job involves material handling.
• Preparation for Shipping: Ensure that pallets (skids) and crates containing displays and signage are secure and ready for pickup by carriers.
• Material Handling: Use a forklift to move raw materials (plastic, wood, metal, paper) to workstations and move finished products to the shipping area.
• Packaging and Crates: Help build custom crates and boxes needed to protect products (often large or fragile displays) during transport..
Qualifications
What are we looking for:
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Warehouse Experience
- Ability to perform heavy and repetitive lifting (in this case, boxes weighing 40 to 50 pounds) and use power tools for building crates
- Experience in Logistics/Shipping in a role coordinating shipments, receiving, or supply chain
- Proficiency with Shipping Documents: Proven ability to prepare essential documents such as Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping labels, and packing slips
- Customs knowledge: Basic understanding of customs documents, HS Tariffs, and country of origin information, particularly for shipments between Canada and the United States.
- Proficiency in an ERP system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
