Responsibilities
• Verify shipping and receiving information, prepare necessary documents, and process freight bills and packing sheets
• Ensure all outgoing orders are accurately prepared for shipping, including packing, labeling, and meeting specific client requirements.
• Provide customers with tracking information and shipping updates while resolving any delivery issues.
• Sign drivers in and out of the facility efficiently.
• Direct carriers to specific dock doors upon arrival and update the system to ensure accuracy during loading/unloading.
• Properly record all received items into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or inventory system.
• Communicate with carriers to establish maximum efficiency for the delivery of products.
• Provide regular reports to management regarding inventory levels, shipments, and receiving processes.
• Organize and prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a manufacturing & logistics environment.
• Review and verify shipping, transportation, and warehouse service charges.
• Maintain organized billing and transportation records, including weight, volume, and associated costs.
• Ensure proper billing codes and rates are applied according to contracts in the ERP and TMS.
Qualifications
• Previous Shipping and Receiving experience is required.
• Fluency with the English language, both verbal and written (essential).
• Good attendance record and strong work ethic.
• Capable of working in a very fast-paced manufacturing & logistics operation.
• Proficient computer skills and experience with ERP systems.
