- Spearhead the design, development, and execution of comprehensive transportation and logistics initiatives for product and material distribution.
- Oversee the customs compliance team, ensuring all import and export operations strictly adhere to relevant customs regulations and requirements.
- Liaise and coordinate effectively with customs brokers, various carriers, and internal departments for the expedited and timely clearance of goods.
- Strategically utilize company spending power with transportation service providers to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Accurately classify products using appropriate HTS/HS codes and diligently maintain all necessary supporting documentation.
- Work collaboratively with internal suppliers to institute and manage ongoing continuous improvement programs in the industrial management supply chain.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated professional history of 5 to 7 years in the combined fields of transportation, customs, and logistics.
- Relevant post-secondary education, such as a Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven capacity and track record in effectively leading and managing teams.
- Adept in the application of Lean and other Process Improvement methodologies to optimize workflows.
- Advanced-level proficiency in analytical tools and computer systems, including experience with ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms.
- Competence in investigating and resolving customs-related issues, such as holds, errors, and penalties, while identifying duty-reduction opportunities.
