Responsibilities
•Lead the identification, analysis, and documentation of current-state business processes; propose optimized future-state models that improve efficiency and reduce redundancies.
•Design and implement structured task frameworks—including work breakdown structures (WBS), action plans, and task sequencing—to help teams deliver on project objectives.
•Facilitate stakeholder workshops and one-on-one sessions to gather business requirements, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
•Translate complex business needs into functional and non-functional requirements for technical and project teams.
•Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including flowcharts, SOPs, process maps, use cases, and decision matrices.
•Ensure processes are scalable, measurable, and compliant with Government of Canada frameworks and service delivery standards.
•Participate in project planning and contribute to timeline development by clearly defining deliverables and interdependencies across teams.
•Provide business analysis support to digital transformation efforts, including system upgrades and cloud migration initiatives.
Qualifications
•Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst within Government of Canada departments or Crown corporations.
•Demonstrated success in leading process improvement efforts using industry best practices (Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent).
•Strong experience designing and organizing task structures that support scalable project delivery and transparent tracking.
•Proficiency in creating professional business documentation aligned with federal government standards and practices.
•Excellent analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.
Assets:
•Experience working on M365 migrations from on-premise to cloud (e.g., Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams).
•Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Power Platform, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
•Knowledge of federal IT governance and the Government of Canada digital standards.
