•Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios aligned with project requirements and established QA standards.
•Execute manual testing activities for Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and related configurations or customizations.
•Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing across multiple environments.
•Identify, document, and track defects using approved test management and issue tracking tools, ensuring clear communication and follow through until resolution.
•Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Project Managers to clarify requirements and validate expected outcomes.
•Review solution designs and technical documentation to understand new features, workflows, and system impacts prior to testing.
•Prepare test evidence, validation documentation, and test reports to support change management processes.
•Participate in sprint ceremonies when working in Agile environments or structured gate reviews when following Waterfall methodologies.
•Provide subject matter insight on M365 capabilities to help ensure test coverage is complete and aligned with best practices.
•Contribute to the development and refinement of quality assurance standards, processes, templates, and documentation as needed.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
•Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manual QA Tester, with at least 3 years focused on testing within the Microsoft 365 environment.
•Strong practical knowledge of:
oSharePoint Online (sites, libraries, permissions, workflows, metadata).
oMicrosoft Teams (channels, collaboration features, meeting and chat integrations).
oO365 Applications (OneDrive, Exchange Online, Power Platform basics, admin/settings familiarity).
•Experience designing and executing detailed manual test scripts for complex business workflows.
•Demonstrated ability to identify defects, articulate issues, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•Strong understanding of QA methodologies, software development lifecycles, and change management practices.
•Experience testing in large, structured enterprise environments.
•Strong documentation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
•Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Nice-to-Have Skills
•Previous experience working within the Government of Canada, particularly in IT modernization or digital workplace projects.
•Familiarity with GC security requirements and the use of departmental SDLC processes.
•Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar test management and defect tracking tools.
•Understanding of Power Automate flows and their impact on business processes.
•Knowledge of accessibility considerations in Microsoft 365 environments.
