Machine Operator- Davenport and Wickman

Day Shift: Mon - Fri 6:30am to 3:00pm.
Aft Shift: Mon - Fri 2:45pm to 11:15pm (57 cents premium)
Rate: $22 - $25

Duties:
Key Responsibilities:
•Machinery Operation and Maintenance: Operate and troubleshoot a variety of precision machinery to produce high-quality components, perform regular maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime and adjust machine settings and configurations as needed to maintain production standards.

•Quality and Compliance: Ensure components meet technical specifications and quality assurance standards, adhere to company's health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment and conduct inspections and tests to verify the quality and precision of components.

•Production Targets and Collaboration: Work closely with the Machinist team to meet production goals and targets. Monitor machinery processes to ensure consistent productivity, maintaining efficient workflows.

•Problem Solving and Issue Retention: Address machining issues through adjustments and troubleshooting. Escalate unresolved issues to supervisors for additional resources or intervention when necessary.

•Uphold company's Core Values: Demonstrate integrity, teamwork, and commitment to service excellence and growth in every aspect of the role, ensuring compliance with quality standards, health and safety protocols, and production timelines.

Technical Skills and Qualifications:
•Demonstrate technical knowledge of machining processes, including the operation, setup, and routine maintenance of precision machinery.
•Ability to perform inspections and tests to verify component quality and ensure adherence to strict technical specifications and quality assurance standards.
•Ability to quickly identify issues and troubleshoot machinery problems to minimize downtime and maintain production standards.
•Ability to adapt to changing production needs and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Ideal candidate would have:
- Prior experience on wickman and Davenport
- Ability to change CAMs, Gears and Tooling
- Ability to red Engineering drawing and tool layout sheet.
- Familiarity with Calipers, blade mic, depth mic, thread ring gauges, plug gauges, height gauge
- Understanding of form tools, drills, reamers and thread mills
