What you need to know:
Location: Port Coquitlam
Position: Permanent
Pay rate: 21.50 per hour
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shift

Responsibilities
• Set up and operate one or more extruding machines to process plastic composites through specific nozzles or dies.
• Perform die changes on extruding machines according to the production schedule and line changes.
• Package finished parts at the end of the production line and accurately prepare pallets for shipping.
• Handle material movement, maintain shop organization, and manage scrap materials effectively.
• Load and unload raw materials and assist in box making to ensure continuous flow in manufacturing & logistics.
• Prepare dies, clean manifolds and screws, and set up the production line with required downstream equipment.
• Record shift data accurately and report any equipment breakdowns or technical issues to supervisors.
• Conduct QC (Quality Control) inspections of parts per drawing standards and meticulously record all results.
• Continuously monitor the quality of the material produced to ensure it meets client specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment while monitoring material inventory levels.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs to maintain peak efficiency in the manufacturing & logistics process.
Qualifications
• High school graduate or equivalent educational background.
• Previous experience working in an industrial or manufacturing & logistics environment is preferred.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift (as this is a 24/7 operation).
• Physically fit and capable of safely lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Must have a reliable means of transportation to Port Coquitlam, given the rotating shift schedule.
• A strong desire to learn new skills and a proactive attitude toward workplace safety.
• Commitment to consistent performance and accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing & logistics environment.
