In this role, you will specialize in the Randstad Operational sector, which focuses deeply on engineering, skilled trades, and manufacturing & logistics operations. Throughout your 8-hour shift, you will operate machinery and perform critical quality checks. This Machine Operator · Visual Inspector position is an ideal fit for anyone passionate about precision, manufacturing & logistics workflows, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities
• Set up, align, and operate production machinery to manufacture automotive components according to specific guidelines.
• Perform continuous visual inspection of finished products to detect defects, surface flaws, or dimensional deviations.
• Monitor machine operations and gauge outputs to ensure compliance with strict quality control standards.
• Document inspection findings and maintain accurate production logs throughout your 8-hour shift.
• Report any mechanical malfunctions or persistent product defects immediately to the team lead.
• Adhere strictly to all manufacturing & logistics safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in alignment with facility 5S standards.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in machine operation, quality control, assembly, or an equivalent manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive movements, and lift up to 30 lbs safely during an 8-hour shift.
• Flexibility to commit fully to a 3-to-4 week short-term contract on your designated shift (day, afternoon, or night).
• Reliable transportation or dependency on the Guelph transit bus route to ensure punctual attendance.
• Strict adherence to safety regulations, including wearing steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses.
• Must be legally entitled to work full-time hours in Canada for the duration of the contract.
