Responsibilities
• Set up and operate specialized production equipment using computer-controlled interfaces to manufacture high-grade powder coating paint.
• Execute detailed machine changeovers and prepare tooling according to strict operational standards and batch schedules.
• Clean and disassemble manufacturing machinery thoroughly between batch runs to prevent cross-contamination and maintain product integrity.
• Obtain, test, and analyze batch samples throughout the production cycle to ensure quality control, color consistency, and cleanliness.
• Perform cabin powder collection routines to minimize raw material waste and optimize machine operating efficiency.
• Conduct spray panel tests and execute regular in-process quality inspections to spot defects or batch deviations early.
• Accurately record operational metrics, batch numbers, and production data on specified tracking forms to maintain trace records.
• Package, label, and securely stack finished goods into designated cartons and onto shipping skids.
• Operate a forklift safely (if certified) to scan, move, and transport finished runs and skids to designated staging areas.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area adhering to 7S requirements, safety guidelines, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
• Previous experience in powder coating, chemical processing, or paint manufacturing is considered a strong asset.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout an 8- to 9-hour shift.
• Physical capability to perform repetitive lifting of raw materials and finished products up to 55 lbs.
• Comfort wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including face mask/respirator, eye protection, and earplugs.
• Full English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) for safety instructions, batch records, and team collaboration.
• Active Forklift Certification or willingness to complete internal forklift training and certification.
