Responsibilities
- Safely operate fabrication and production machinery, including shearing, punching, bending, and batch-making equipment.
- Manual measuring and mixing of ingredients knowledge would be an asset. Need to understand what is viscosity, if something goes wrong with batch, should - know how would you correct the entire batch
- Conduct daily pre-start safety inspections to ensure all machinery is in peak operational condition.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and verify that all safety guards and interlocks are functioning correctly.
- Interpret production blueprints and sketches using modern manufacturing software and digital drawing systems.
- Configure machine sequences and material feeds to manage the efficient flow of parts through production.
- Monitor equipment performance to proactively clear jams, prevent blockages, and ensure proper lubrication.
- Organize and tag completed orders with accuracy to streamline routing for the next production stage.
- Maintain a tidy, hazard-free workspace while assisting with various production tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
- 1+ years of experience operating production, fabrication, or batch-making machinery (shearing, punching, bending, etc.).
- Local to the region, residing within 50 km of Milton, ON.
- Technical skills in reading and interpreting basic manufacturing blueprints and layouts.
- Digital proficiency with computer applications and MS Office.
- Safety-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
