Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to a team of 25 maintenance professionals, including conducting performance evaluations and training.
- Develop and execute strategic maintenance schedules to minimize operational downtime and boost plant efficiency.
- Oversee and manage the departmental budget, which includes controlling costs and maintaining an inventory of parts and supplies.
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to strict safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and reduce costs.
- Optimize the use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System and implement a robust asset management system.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or industrial technology is preferred, though relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree (442a, 309a or 433a if there is no degree)
- Possess a minimum of five years of supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong command of a CMMS and experience with SAP is a significant asset.
- A proven track record of coaching and developing maintenance teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaboration and trust.
- Ability to pass a medical and criminal background check
