The assignment is considered long term contract.
Shifts are rotational: Monday to Fridays
Days - 7am to 3:30
Afternoon - 3pm to 11:30pm

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provides expert Mechanical Support to Manufacturing and Packaging Operations
Works as part of a Team to Support the Life-Cycle Design, Installation, Qualification, Validation, Troubleshooting and Optimization of Manufacturing and Packaging Equipment
Singlehandedly Troubleshoot, Diagnose and Repair Malfunctioning Production Equipment
Tear down and repair of broken parts; manufactures replacement parts in house (for long lead time items), Re-assembly and testing.
Analyses root cause/s of failures of equipment/components
Proposes machine component design improvements.
Provides Expert Support for Production Equipment Changeover and Set-up
Timely and Accurate Completion of Preventive Maintenance Work-Orders and Supporting Documentation (computerised)
Trains Operators on Changeover and Set-up Procedures and patiently helps explain machine operations and evolves the competence of slightly less technically competent operators.
Dealing with outside vendors OEMs and external Machine/Fabrication shops to obtain spares and modified parts. Search for new parts and find new supply vendors.
Analyses the effectiveness of existing Preventative Maintenance Plans pertaining to equipment, and alters these to better suit the equipment: Revises existing Maintenance Task Lists and Spare Parts Data
Installs and qualifies new equipment and creates new Maintenance Plans for this new equipment.
Plans rebuild jobs for Shutdowns and obtaining parts for these rebuilds.
Maintains Awareness and Expertise in Production Equipment Design, Optimization, and Maintenance
Identifies machine running Efficiency Gaps, Provides Solutions, and Implements Continuous Improvement Initiatives – including physical modifications to equipment.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
3 Years’ experience of maintenance work on Production Equipment, with 1 of these years as a qualified Millwright
Millwright Apprentices will be considered
Proficient in interpreting Machinery Manuals, Drawings and Schematics
Proven Technical Competency in Equipment Design, Optimization, and Maintenance
Proven ability to Singlehandedly Troubleshoot and Restore/Repair Production Equipment
Proficient in Maintenance Practices – including associated documentation: Work Order Creation & Closure, Spare Parts withdrawal process and creation of new part BOMs, Schedule Adherence, CMMS etc.
Use of Machine Shop Equipment – Lathe, Milling Machine (conventional), Welding, etc.
Strong Problem-Solving Skills
Self-Managed Team Player, Adept at Working with Teams in a Production Environment
Good Leadership Skills
Good Oral and Written Communication
Strong Computer Skills (Word, Excel, experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software, e.g., M-ERPS/ SAP)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Millwright Certificate of Qualification is Required
Special Working Conditions:
Shift work required.
Extended hours and/ or weekend work may also be required.
Onsite interview will be done by the client
All selected candidates must go through a medical check up with the onsite nurse
