We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at a busy food processing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all production equipment, performing routine maintenance, and responding promptly to breakdowns to minimize downtime and maintain product quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery, packaging lines, and facility systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment issues.
Repair and replace defective parts, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and other components.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Collaborate with the production team to address issues quickly and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Hands-on experience with conveyors, mixers, pumps, chillers, and automated machinery.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is an asset.
Welding, fabrication, or basic electrical experience is a plus.
Millwright blue book is an asset
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
