This is a critical role designed for a "proactive fixer" who excels at identifying the root cause of mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
As a Maintenance Millwright, you will work closely with the electrical team to ensure the reliability and efficiency of specialized milling and packaging equipment.
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Bow Island, AB
Schedule: 5x8 Monday to Friday, Days
Environment: Food Processing / Industrial
Wage: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour (Based on experience)

Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
- Collaborating daily with Maintenance Electricians and Operators
- Safety Leadership: Prioritize a "zero-harm" culture by adhering to LOTO (Lock-out/Tag-out) and food safety protocols.
- Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled inspections and lubrications on conveyors, milling equipment, and sifting machinery.
- Emergency Repairs: Rapidly respond to equipment breakdowns to ensure production targets are met.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using root cause analysis.
- Installation & Upgrades: Assist in the installation of new machinery and contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimize line efficiency.
- Documentation: Accurately log work orders, parts usage, and maintenance history within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Qualifications
What are we looking for in a candidate?
- Certification: Valid Journeyman Millwright Certificate (Red Seal preferred).
- Experience: Previous experience in Food & Beverage, Pharma, or high-speed manufacturing is a significant asset.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with gearboxes, pumps, bearings, seals, and conveyor systems.
- Welding/Fabrication: Basic proficiency in TIG/Stick welding for equipment repairs is an asset.
- Mindset: A proactive individual who doesn't just "fix" but looks for ways to prevent the next failure.
