Position Details
Role: Maintenance Supervisor (Hands-On Floor Leader)
Location: Hamilton, ON
Shift: Straight Days (Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $52.00 – $57.00 per hour (based on experience)
Additional Compensation: Performance/Target Bonuses based on successful completion of key operational milestones & PM implementation

Responsibilities
-Hands-On Equipment Maintenance (Primary Focus): Spend ~90% of your time active on the plant floor troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding heavy production equipment, including stamping presses, roll forming lines, robotic welders, and automated assembly systems.
-Department & Team Leadership: Act as a working floor supervisor, directly managing and building out the maintenance team while fostering a strong culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
-PM Program Development: Design, implement, and optimize preventative maintenance (PM) schedules from the ground up to eliminate recurring downtime and transition the plant from reactive to proactive maintenance.
-Root-Cause Problem Solving: Directly target, isolate, and solve complex machinery bottlenecks—specifically across primary automated processing lines.
-Process & Administrative Oversight (~10%): Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and machine guarding standards, manage electronic work orders, order necessary tooling/parts, and coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs.
Qualifications
-License: Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright Red Seal required.
-Industrial Background: Extensive experience in a heavy industrial environment (heavy steel, stamping, metal fabrication, or automotive).
-Machinery Expertise: Hands-on experience working with stamping presses, roll formers, robotic welding cells, and complex automated production equipment.
-PLC Knowledge: Basic exposure to PLC systems and sensor interactions to assist in troubleshooting machine logic and linked line faults.
-Leadership Drive: Proven track record of working shoulder-to-shoulder with technicians, developing PM processes, and mentoring personnel
-Must be able to pass a background check
