Responsibilities
Woodworking Machinery Maintenance:
* Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various woodworking machines such as mills, lathes, saws, sanders, planers, press machines, edge banders and other specialized equipment.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with woodworking machinery.
* Replace worn or damaged parts, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
Building Maintenance:
* Conduct general building upkeep, including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC system maintenance, and other facility-related repairs.
* Maintain lighting, power systems, and other building infrastructure.
* Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for machinery and building systems.
* Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
* May assist with other tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the facility
Qualifications
CSA-approved steel toe boots required
Strong work ethic and reliability
Proven experience maintaining and repairing woodworking machinery
Experience with general building maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
