Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Langley, BC
Status: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift Options:
Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM OR Afternoon Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM ($1.50 premium)
Wage: $34.00–$40.00/hr + applicable shift premiums
Requirements: Steel-toe boots, prior maintenance experience, legal ability to work full-time in BC
Assets: Mechanical aptitude, Red Seal or Millwright Certification

Responsibilities
Read diagrams and schematics to determine repair or installation steps
Install and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
Inspect machinery for irregularities or malfunctions
Repair or replace defective parts and adjust machinery as needed
Fabricate parts using machine tools during setup or repairs
Ensure safety devices function properly after installations or repairs
Maintain and sharpen machine tools
Perform preventative maintenance and keep detailed service records
Clean and lubricate machinery regularly
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
Solid mechanical foundation and confidence using basic tools (e.g., ratchets) without supervision
Experience with industrial machinery installation, adjustment, and repair
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems effectively
Working knowledge of CNC equipment, PLCs, VFDs, servos, and similar systems
Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing
Experience with automation; electrical knowledge is a plus
Hands-on experience with fans, motors, pumps, valves, hoists, compressors, cylinders, and conveyors
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Comfortable working independently and under tight deadlines
Safety-first mindset with knowledge of equipment safety standards
Flexibility to work various shifts when needed (e.g., vacation coverage)
Commitment to continuous improvement
Physical and Working Conditions:
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing physical tasks like reaching, kneeling, and standing for long periods
Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and weather elements
Work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, kneeling, standing)
Must follow safety regulations and handle equipment and chemical hazards
Use of personal protective equipment provided
