Responsibilities
Perform preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
Work with equipment such as lathes, mills, CNC lathes, HVAC systems, induction melting units, plumbing, and wire drawing machines.
Conduct limited PLC troubleshooting (<10%) on Siemens and Allen-Bradley systems.
Build, modify, refurbish, and install older or custom machinery to meet evolving production needs.
Operate shop tools and material-handling equipment such as forklifts, saws, hoists, and other machine tools.
Support training of junior technicians and production staff in safe work and maintenance best practices.
Qualifications
3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or metals manufacturing environment.
Strong background in electrical systems (60%) and mechanical repair (40%).
Proficiency with AutoCAD, blueprint reading, and technical drawings.
Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
Experience with welding (MIG, TIG, ARC, flux, plasma) and fabrication.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems.
Excellent understanding of PPE use and industrial safety standards—must remain clean-shaven for respirator fit and work in metal-sensitive PPE zones.
