I am partnering with a leading, fast-paced Canadian manufacturer in Mississauga to find a strategic and experienced Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This is a critical leadership role where you will own the company’s core financial planning processes and serve as the primary financial partner to the executive and operations teams.

Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will lead critical standard costing, manage a Financial Analyst, and drive data integrity within the Epicor ERP system.
Strategic Leadership & Executive Reporting:
- Direct all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and variance analysis, transforming complex data into actionable executive commentary.
- Own the design and maintenance of executive and board-level reporting packages, including sophisticated KPI dashboards (margin performance, working capital, etc.).
- Lead and present complex financial modeling for strategic initiatives, including capital expenditures and acquisitions.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the end-to-end organizational process for annual budget construction and detailed rolling forecasts.
- Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, actively identifying and quantifying future risks and opportunities.
- Partner with all department heads to ensure accountability and ownership of expense and revenue projections.
Manufacturing Finance & Costing:
- Serve as the subject matter expert and ultimate owner of standard costing, ensuring the accuracy of all labor, overhead, and material inputs.
- Oversee and perform detailed reviews of job costing, manufacturing variances, and work order closures to drive operational efficiencies.
- Lead profitability analysis for products, customers, and markets, providing strategic pricing and margin recommendations.
Epicor ERP & Systems Governance:
- Own the integrity, governance, and optimization of all financial data within the Epicor ERP system.
- Manage and execute system improvements, leading data migrations, audits, and the design of advanced financial reports within Epicor.
- Drive automation projects to streamline data extraction and modeling.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Manage, mentor, and coach a Financial Analyst, setting performance goals, managing workflow, and prioritizing professional development.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide continuous feedback to foster a high-performing FP&A function.
Qualifications
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Mandatory: Proven super-user or implementation experience with Epicor ERP for financial and cost management.
- Mandatory: A minimum of 5+ years of progressive Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience.
- Mandatory: Deep, demonstrable expertise in manufacturing accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Prior experience managing or formally mentoring direct reports is required.
- CPA or MBA designation is highly preferred.
- Advanced financial modeling skills and proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
