Responsibilities
You will lead the frontline workforce to ensure the safe and productive execution of daily maintenance and service plans across all facilities.
You will be responsible for the P&L delivery, managing resources, materials, and equipment to meet established KPIs.
You will navigate labor relations by managing according to Collective Agreements and handling initial stage grievances.
You will oversee the uptime and maintenance of parking equipment, meters, and vehicles to ensure a premium customer experience.
Your schedule will include rotating shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends, ensuring a senior management presence 24/7.
You will respond to and mitigate emergency situations on-site, ensuring hazards are delineated and reported promptly.
Qualifications
Labour Relations: Proven, substantial experience working in a unionized environment and managing related labour relations matters is a non-negotiable requirement.
Education: A university degree or 3-year college diploma in facilities management, project management, business management, contract management, or a related subject area.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in facilities, operations, project management, or a related field.
Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of relevant employment laws, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, and the Employment Standards Act.
Operational Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing large and complex facilities-related projects and strong expertise in procurement and contract management processes.
Analytical Prowess: Excellent analytical, mathematical, and statistical skills to organize and interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
Interdepartmental Growth: A proactive approach to engaging with the rest of the organization and other departments to build relationships, understand cross-functional workflows, and lay the foundation for future succession planning.
Communication & Judgment: Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, coupled with sound judgment, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Availability: Must have the ability to be on call 24/7 and occasionally work extended or irregular hours to meet operational needs.
Mobility: You must hold a valid Class "G" Driver's License for the Province of Ontario to travel between various sites in Concord.
