Our client, a global leader in aerospace Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services, is looking for Manual Machinists at various experience levels for their Winnipeg facility. As a Manual Machinist, you will work within a bright, state-of-the-art facility to manufacture, repair, and rework critical flight and engine components to exacting specifications.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Schedule: Primarily Day Shift (Monday to Friday) with flexibility for evening/weekend shifts as needed
Environment: Aerospace Manufacturing / MRO (Clean, temperature-regulated facility)
Wage: $27.00 to $42.00 per hour (Based on experience & certification)

Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
Manual Machining: Set up and operate manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders) to manufacture and repair precision components.
Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering work instructions.
Quality Inspection: Measure and inspect finished parts using precision hand tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify tight tolerances.
Process Setup: Troubleshoot machining setups, select appropriate tooling, and ensure optimal fabrication methods.
Collaboration & Safety: Follow all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements while actively participating in team continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications
What are we looking for in a candidate?
Certification / Experience: Open to all experience levels—from candidates with machining trade training/apprenticeships to seasoned Red Seal Journeyman Manual Machinists.
Technical Aptitude: Strong proficiency with manual machining equipment, tooling setups, basic shop math, and precise measuring instruments.
Aerospace Asset: Previous experience in aerospace, MRO, or high-precision manufacturing is considered a strong asset.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs, alongside a sharp attention to detail.
